General Report | ||
I was leader of a 3 ship formation to patrol in the area to the North of Oss. We were at 6,000 feet when I spotted a single aircraft at the same altitude. I ordered 'Buster' and close the range. The aircraft turned and flew straight towards me. That's when I identified it as an enemy J.P. aircraft. I then opened fired the .5s but didn't see any effects. I turned to starboard to continue the chase. Distance increased but luckily the bandit turned around. I covered No. 2 and No. 3 from above while they fired at the target until it entered a spin and crashed into the ground. Before we managed to reform, 2 further M.E. 262 were spotted. At full speed and in a slight dive I managed to get in range, but just when I wanted to fire strong turbolences ruined my aim. I disengaged and climbed to allow my No. 3 to open fire. He scored good hits and set it aflame. | ||
